Golf in Brighton & Hove: five courses, one range, simulators and crazy golf
Brighton and Hove has five golf courses, and Hollingbury is the cheapest at £28 midweek and £37 at weekends, pay and play with no membership. Dyke is the dearest at £70 midweek. Brighton & Hove Golf Club is the 9-hole option, with visitors from 12pm. The only driving range in the city is at West Hove: 20 Trackman bays, walk-in only, 100 balls for £12. Roedean pitch and putt, Brighton Footgolf and Jungle Rumble suit beginners and kids. When it rains, try VGolf, GLOBALLS or One Under. Prices checked 31 October 2026.

Outside the city: the nearest options, honestly
drive times are estimatesBrighton has one driving range. West Hove's is a public Trackman range with 8 covered and 12 outdoor bays, and you can't book a bay.
If you want something else, you're driving. Singing Hills near Hassocks (about 18 minutes) has a 14-bay floodlit Toptracer range open to the public. Burgess Hill Golf Centre (about 25 minutes) has 28 bays, floodlit, no booking, and no ball tracking. Cuckfield Golf Centre (about 32 minutes) has six covered Trackman bays. Rustington Golf Centre (about 42 minutes) has Toptracer on 20 bays. Haywards Heath Golf Club has a Trackman range, but visitors can't use it. See the driving range guide.

- Directories still list some places that no longer exist. Here is what we found.
- Waterhall Golf Courseclosed on 31 March 2020. The council says it no longer operates as a golf venue, and the site is being rewilded.
- Benfield Valleythe old golf course became Brighton Footgolf in 2018.
- Rottingdean Pitch & Puttthe lease ended in March 2012 and the site became part of the Beacon Hill nature reserve. It is not Roedean's pitch and putt.
- Peter Pan's Adventure Golfsame site as Jungle Rumble on Madeira Drive. Some old pages still say two 18-hole courses. It is three 15-hole courses.
- Hassocks Golf Clubclosed in March 2019 to make way for housing.
- Brooklands Pleasure Park (Lancing) pitch and putta January 2026 council news release says the site was formerly part of a pitch and putt course. We found nothing to show it operating in 2026.
- Golf Addiction (Brighton Marina)no longer in the Marina's list of attractions on 31 October 2026. We found no dated closure notice, so we treat it as gone with medium-low confidence.
- Not listed yetBrighton Pirate Crazy Golf and Hove Lagoon Funplay. We found no 2026 sign from the venue that they are trading, and we will recheck at the start of the season in March 2027. Elite Golf Brighton is in Michigan, not Brighton.
