About GolfSay

GolfSay is a golf directory with one rule: show what you can check, and say where it came from. It starts with Brighton & Hove and a labelled ring of courses and ranges a short drive away.

What it is

Every golf course, driving range, simulator, crazy golf course, pitch and putt and footgolf course we could confirm is trading, with its fees, visitor rules and facilities. Each price carries the date we read it and a link to the page it came from. Then, on every venue page, what golfers say: short quotes from public reviews and forum threads, summarised by theme, each with its source, date and link.

Who runs it

GolfSay is edited by Alex Christou. No other people are named on the site. Facts are gathered with the help of research software and then checked by code and by hand: a fact that cannot be tied to a saved copy of the page it came from does not get published.

How it is paid for

It is not, yet. There is no advertising, no paid listing and no pay-to-rank. If that changes, for example a clearly labelled tee-time link, this page will say so first. A venue can never pay to change what golfers say about it or where it appears.

What we do not do

• We do not publish our own star ratings. Ratings from other sites are shown as dated text with a link.
• We do not show resold tee-time discounts as a club's price.
• We do not list closed venues as open, and we do not call places twenty miles away "Brighton".
