Seaford Golf Club is outside Brighton & Hove, about 30 minutes' drive from central Brighton (our estimate, not a routed journey). We list it because golfers here drive, and a page that pretends otherwise is no use to you. See all nearby options.

What it's like

A downland course on free-draining chalk, designed and built by J H Taylor in 1907, with South Downs and sea views. The white tees play 6,546 yards at par 69. There's a 350-yard grass driving range with three covered bays, and a bunker rebuild programme is running to April 2027. Don't follow the signs for Seaford Head golf course; this is a different club.

Best for

  • Wet-winter golf on free-draining chalk
  • Fast greens and sea views
