Quick answer. Brighton has one public driving range, at West Hove Golf Club in Hangleton: 20 Trackman bays, walk-in only, 100 balls for £12. Everything else is a drive away, from about 18 minutes (Singing Hills) to about 42 minutes (Rustington). Prices checked 31 October 2026.
You type "driving range Brighton" into Google and get results for places in Littlehampton, Alton and further. It's annoying, because most of those are called "Brighton" by a directory that couldn't be bothered to check a map. So here's the short list, with the drive times and prices we found.
The one in the city: West Hove
West Hove has 20 bays, 8 covered and 12 outdoor, with Trackman. There are no bookings, so you turn up and hit. Balls are on sale 8am to 8pm in summer and 8am to 6.30pm in winter.
| Balls | Price | Per ball |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | £7.50 | 15p |
| 75 | £10.50 | 14p |
| 100 | £12 | 12p |
There are discount cards too: pay £35 for £45 credit, £65 for £90, £130 for £195, or £250 for £400. If you hit a lot of balls the £250 card is the best deal, since that works out at 60% extra credit.
What the club doesn't say: whether the range is floodlit, or whether it has grass tees. We've left both as unknown. Reviews of the range itself are thin, with one Golfshake reviewer in March 2026 calling it an "epic Trackman range". Treat that as one voice.
The nearest alternatives
Drive times are our estimates from central Brighton.
| Range | About | Bays | Tech | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Singing Hills, near Hassocks | 18 min | 14, covered, floodlit | Toptracer | 50 balls £6, 100 balls £11 |
| Burgess Hill Golf Centre | 25 min | 28, covered and outdoor, floodlit | None for tracking | 50 balls £8, 100 balls £15 |
| Cuckfield Golf Centre | 32 min | 6 covered plus outdoor mats | Trackman, no extra charge | 25 balls £5, 50 £8, 100 £14.50 |
| Rustington Golf Centre | 42 min | 28 covered, 5 outdoor, floodlit | Toptracer on 20 | 25 balls £6, 50 £8.50, 125 £12.50 |
Singing Hills is the pick if you want a tracer without a long drive. It's also cheap per ball, at 11p for 100 (only Rustington's 125 for £12.50, at 10p, beats it). Burgess Hill is the one for evenings, with the last bucket at 9:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30pm Friday and 7:30pm at weekends. Cuckfield's range is the newest, installed in October 2025, though drivers are only for use with a pro because of the range length. Rustington is the furthest, and on weekdays before 11:30am 50 balls cost £5.50 as an early bird.
Ranges you can't use, or can't price
A few clubs have ranges but we can't give you a clean answer.
- Haywards Heath Golf Club has a Trackman range, but it's for members and their guests only.
- Lindfield has a 24-bay covered range, mats only. Ball prices aren't published.
- Seaford Golf Club has a 350-yard grass range with three covered bays. Ball prices aren't published.
- Lewes has a range, but practice facilities are for members, green-fee visitors and people having lessons.
- Mid Sussex has a partly covered range, used 12 months a year. No ball prices published either.
No range? Try a simulator
If it's pouring or you just want data, a sim does the job. In Brighton, VGolf at the Marina has Golfzon simulators at £10 per person per hour. Further out, Foundry Golf and Apex Golf in Burgess Hill have TrackMan bays from £24 an hour per bay, Hill Barn in Worthing has Trackman sims from £30 for 60 minutes, and Dyke has an indoor studio for lessons and fittings.
Which one should you pick?
If you just want a bucket after work, West Hove does the job and it's in the city. If you want a tracer, I'd drive to Singing Hills. Burgess Hill is the better bet on a dark winter evening, and when it's chucking it down VGolf beats all of them. We'll update the prices when the clubs change them, which most do on 1 April.
